Where has the time gone?

I opened this web page some years ago at the start of The Gap Encounter Rooms in late 2019. We had a few months of meeting in person until the owner of the building and the regulations from the government meant that we could no longer use the building.

So then the pandemic and family events took over and the Gap Encounter Rooms went into a holding pattern. No longer were we meeting for prayer. My ministry focus went to a group of women who were walking together as we discussed a fiction book we were each reading together (yes it was a book club). The online book club took on a role of teaching me that online connections are just as vital and just as healing as being together in a room. There was something healing about these ladies as we met each week for a whole year of book club that awakened a desire to restart this prayer ministry again.

I am now re-starting what the Lord had put on my heart in 2009- for a hub that people can come to and be equipped in praying for healing but that they would also get to practice hearing Holy Spirit and sharing their revelations in community. In particular I am aware that the church space has changed and is no longer relying on bricks and mortar. Followers of Jesus are meeting in the online space and finding real community. One of the beautiful things that I am noticing about these online communities- it is no longer about theological differences- but a shared coming together to celebrate our life in Jesus and what that means practically and not theoretically. This is about loving each other in community. This is so different to what the world is processing at present.

Maybe you have been disillusioned by the traditional church. Maybe you have been processing the society changes and the focus of many to segregating along ideological lines. And out of the blue, Holy Spirit reminded me that the Gap Encounter Rooms was still in hibernation. He had not forgotten his promises to me for a dedicated prayer room for healing and wholeness.
